My Side of the Trail
On April 12 we returned home from our four month journey! It has been interesting getting back into the swing of things but we are excited to be back in the mountains. We rescued a new 3 month old puppy named Otis and he has been keeping us plenty busy. I am working on bringing this company closer to full time and I have also been working part-time as a substitute with Summit County Libraries. We are patiently waiting for spring weather as we keep waking up to snow on our deck.

What’s on the Workbench
Right now I am working on creating a few new collections for the summer market season. I am creating a collection of polymer clay / brass earrings called “Trailside Blooms” that offer colors reminiscent of summer hikes. There will be 6 different designs in alpine blue, Indian paintbrush red, golden meadow, trail dust, and lupine purple.
On the illustration side of life, I am working on creating a collection of garden and veggie themed designs, trying to incorporate watercolors with my digital illustrations. I intend for these designs to be available as a greeting card collection as well as on tea towels and tote bags. Let me know if you have any other ideas for this collection. So far, I have this one design completed.
Did you know I can do custom illustrations???? I love to create art for others whether it’s a custom map, portrait, or something else. I am working on an adorable sign for
new chicken coop, called “The Hula Hen House”. I’m working to incorporate some fun Hawaiian lei flower designs to bring the project together. Stay tuned for the finished project!
