June was a month of non-stop movement, sunshine, and celebrating some major milestones. It feels like the season has officially hit its stride, and while the days have been long and warm, it’s been a thrill to connect with so many of you.

Market Season Highlights

The market season has been the heartbeat of the last few weeks. Between the three Dillon Farmers Markets and the three-day stretch at the Glenwood Springs Strawberry Days, I’ve spent a lot of time in the heat, but it was absolutely worth it. The highlight of the month was undoubtedly being awarded "Best Booth 2026" at the Strawberry Days festival! I’m still buzzing from that one, especially since it means I get a free booth next year—so you can officially count on seeing me there again.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to settle into the rhythm of the local markets. I’m starting to recognize some familiar faces stopping by the booth, which has been such a joy. Many of you have been having a blast with the vending machine, too. It’s been fun keeping that stocked with everything from vinyl chicken stickers and magnetic bookmarks to mini nature prints and embroidered patches.

A Month of Family Milestones

Outside of the market circuit, June was packed with family celebrations. I headed home to toast to my parents’ 60th birthdays, which was a very special occasion. I poured a lot of heart into a custom seamless pattern for them, weaving in childhood memories that my sisters and I have shared over the years. We turned that design into an art print and custom golf t-shirts for them. The trip was made even sweeter by getting to go wedding dress shopping with my little sister—such a fun milestone to share together.

Stephen and I also ventured out to North Carolina to celebrate my parents-in-law as they enter retirement. It was a wonderful few days of beach life and some very ambitious (and humbling) attempts at surfing. It feels like a year of big transitions for both of our parents, and it’s been lovely to be part of those celebrations.

Closer to home, My sweetest chicken, Acorn Squash, has been living her best life on a performing circuit at the Summit County Library. As part of their "Unearth a Story" summer reading program, Squash gets to attend the "Living Dinosaurs" program to help show the connections between dinosaurs and animals living today!

(Mis)Adventures

To cap off the month, we finally managed to get the raft out for an overnight trip with a few friends, though it was... an experience. Let’s just say the wind was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. We ended up taking turns pulling the raft down the river for most of the weekend, which was definitely not the relaxing float we had planned. The silver lining? A campsite menu that included plenty of cookie dough and some legitimately delicious meals.
