What a whirlwind of a month! May really set the bar high. From celebrating community wins in Silverthorne to getting some serious travel in, it feels like I’ve lived three months in the span of one. Here is a look back at everything that kept me busy.
The Big Wins & Community Fun
One highlight of the month was definitely seeing the Silverthorne First Friday design finally hit the merchandise. Seeing people walking around with the cups was such a blast—thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with me!
On top of that, I’m still pinching myself about the "Books That Changed My Life" contest. I won! It’s still a little under wraps until the official video drops, but I’m so excited that half the winnings are going back to my local Summit County Library. Keep an eye out—the shirts will be available at for purchase soon!
Creative Commissions & New Kits
It’s been a busy season for custom work. I loved working on a bridal party portrait for a lovely engaged couple, and helping celebrate a milestone 90th birthday with a custom illustration of a house and garden was such a special project. I also finished a piece for Edible Denver, a food magazine based out of Denver. It will be shown in their next issue!
For the crafters, I’ve been prepping for Strawberry Days in Glenwood Springs (June 19–21). I’ve put together a new DIY strawberry patch kit that I’m really proud of, and I’ll be handing those out at the event (from my vending machine!). Closer to home, my nephew turned five, so I got to channel some creative energy into a "Pete the Cat" felt story—a fun addition to his collection!
Travel & Inspiration
I took a little time away this month for a total change of scenery. I joined my lovely college friend, Lindsey, on a Disney Alaska cruise—she was the naturalist on board, and she treated me to the trip of a lifetime! The excursion we took ended up being the direct inspiration for this month’s Little Art Club theme (scroll down for the reveal!).
From the quiet of Alaska, I flew straight to Indianapolis to meet my husband and friends for my very first Indy 500. It was quite the contrast, but such an incredible experience.
Looking Ahead: Summer Markets
Now that June is here, it’s officially market season. My newest design—a fun illustration of "sesquisemiquincentennial" (a celebration of Colorado's 150th and America's 250th)—is fresh off the press. You can grab it this Friday at the Dillon Farmers Market, available on multiple products!

I’ll be a regular at the Dillon Farmers Market every Friday this summer (except for the weekend of June 20, when I’ll be over in Glenwood Springs for Strawberry Days). Come by, say hi, and let’s celebrate the start of summer!
SPOILER ALERT! June Little Art Club artwork reveal on the next slide!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting local art. Here's to a crazy and fun June!
Warmly, Megan
