May 2026 | Community Roots & Creative Blooms

Updated: May 2

Happy May! April was a whirlwind of community projects, mountain escapes, and a lot of "behind the scenes" work that is finally making its way out into the world. It feels like the local creative scene is truly waking up with the season, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.

Here is a look back at what kept me busy this past month:

Community Celebration!

It has been a huge month for local collaborations! First, the Dillon Artist Town Directory brochures are officially in the wild. I had the honor of designing the map for this project, and seeing it go to print was such a highlight. You can grab a copy at Town Hall or at various businesses around the community.

Additionally, the 2026 Exit 205 Magazine has hit the stands. I am beyond excited to have my artwork featured on the cover this year! If you flip through, you’ll also find an illustrated bingo board I created. These are free and available at Town Hall and magazine stands throughout Silverthorne and Dillon—go snag one while they last!

We kicked off April with a wonderful First Friday celebration of our creative district. I designed a limited-edition t-shirt that served as the prize for the event. It was so much fun seeing everyone visit local businesses, collect stamps from local artists, and celebrate the vibrant art community we have here.

Art outside of the Community

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve made the finals for the BTCML Book Look t-shirt design contest. If you have a spare moment, I would love your vote! If I win, half of the prize money will go directly to our Summit County Library, a resource that means so much to our community.

I had a very exciting milestone this month: my first Utah wholesale order! My work is now headed to the Museum of Utah. If you’re in the area or have friends in the Beehive State, you can check out my Utah-themed products Here in the Shop

Hut Trips & New DIYs

Amidst the work, I managed to escape to a mountain hut with some dear friends. While the snow wasn’t quite deep enough for skiing, the weekend was exactly the reset I needed. The highlight for me was actually testing out a brand-new project: the Citrus Coaster DIY Kit. We spent the weekend stitching together felt lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruits, and it was the perfect "test run" for this new functional art kit. Get yours today!

Looking Ahead to Summer

While I’ve been busy getting the Mother’s Day Little Art Club bundles out the door (huge thanks to everyone who ordered!), I’m already dreaming of summer markets.

I have a very exciting new addition joining me this year... I ordered a vending machine! I can’t wait to bring this to markets this summer as a fun, interactive way to shop for stickers and small treats. I’m also neck-deep in felt and thread working on several other embroidered DIY kits that I’ll be debuting soon.

While I’m taking a breather from events in May to focus on production, the summer season is just around the corner. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be a regular at the Dillon Farmers Market this year! My first day back will be June 5th, and I can't wait to see your faces in the sunshine.
