Upcoming Events

ree

I hope to see you at one of these four events, all in my home area, Summit County (the first one is tonight)! Come give me a wave or buy a fun gift for yourself or a loved one!

You can also continue to find and purchase my artwork in three locations in Summit County, CO in addition to my website and Etsy page.

My Side of the Trail

July flew by. We somehow weren’t home for a single weekend, and the month was packed with everything from travel to local adventures.

We started things off rafting on the Upper Colorado—always a favorite summer reset. Then we flew east for Stephen’s cousin’s wedding and made a detour to Hershey Park where we rode every roller coaster we could fit in (turns out we’re still coaster people).

Back home, I spent Burro Days weekend selling in Fairplay. It’s a quirky little mountain event and a fun way to connect with locals and visitors alike. I also took my first trip to Grand Lake, CO for a craft fair and fell in love with the charming, rustic town. It gave me a lot of nostalgia for northern Minnesota!

The rest of the month was a mix of biking, game nights, and time in the garden—our radishes turned out great, and I ended up pickling a bunch. We’ve been hanging out with Otis, soaking up the sun while it lasts, and enjoying the slower weekdays.

My aunt came out from Minnesota for a visit too, which gave us a good excuse to do some of the things I always mean to make time for—mountaintop yoga at A-Basin, free concerts in the park, and lazy breakfasts with sourdough avocado toast.

It’s been a full stretch of motion and moments, and I’m glad for every bit of it.

New Products in My Shop

I’ve added a handful of new products to the shop this month! The Storytime Felt Kits are finally finished and have been a big hit with kids (and parents) at markets. They’re designed to encourage creative play and storytelling, with themes like:

  • Growing and Cooking Vegetables

  • Three Little Pigs

  • The Little Red Hen

  • Outer Space

  • Numbers & Letters

I’ve also added a few new art prints to the mix, including:

  • Great Blue Heron

  • Fly Agaric Mushroom

  • Honeycomb

These new prints fit right in with the natural themes I love to explore, and they’re now available online and at markets.

As always, thanks for supporting handmade and letting me keep creating!

What’s on the Workbench

This month’s been full of creative momentum (and a lot of late nights at the desk).

I wrapped up a design challenge hosted by CatCoq—one of my favorite artists—and used it as a springboard to rework one of my most popular greeting cards: The Birthday Chicks. That piece turned into a full mini collection, complete with hero illustrations, secondary elements, and coordinating blender patterns.

That energy carried over into a few other collections too. I finished:

  • Beetles & Blooms

  • Riverside Inspirations

Both are now available on Spoonflower and Redbubble as prints, fabric, wallpaper, apparel, accessories, and more (and also available for licensing!).

I also completed a huge, custom National Parks of the USA map for someone aiming to visit all the parks—such a fun, meaningful project. I learned a lot about the creation process and how to keep 63 illustrations organized and separated by colors and details on different layers.

Finally, I designed a few new stickers for the three branches of the Summit County Library.

To round out the month, I pulled together a Faire wholesale website so shops can now browse and order my products directly—something I’ve been meaning to do for a while.

Busy, in the best way.

I've had a lot fun this last month traveling to other cities for markets but I am so excited to stick around Summit County this month!
